Are dogs better than cats
At some point in your life, you’ve been probably asked if you’re a dog person or a cat person. Some people do love both animals. But if you had to live with only one, which one would you choose?
There has been a timeless debate between dogs and cats. Now it’s time to face it just for fun. Let’s explore some reasons why dogs are better than cats.
Don’t worry, cat lovers! There are also many reasons why cats can be better than dogs.
1) Training a dogs is a lot more easier:
One reason why dogs are popular is that they are easier to train compared to cats. Dogs can be taught tricks, manners, behaviors and commands. They can do this for protection and safety, obedience, and even simple entertainment. Dogs love training because they love having tasks and being part of a pack. Some cats can be trained, but as soon as they endure it, they will knock the treat out of your hand and run away with it.
2) Dogs can provide protection:
Dogs will protect your home from burglars and strangers, but cats will not. They are shy and tend to run away when someone strange comes in. Even the smallest dogs have heart and their audible bark is enough to break some burglars into someone else’s home. Many dogs will even wake you up if there is a fire, which is practically unthinkable for a cat.
3) Dog are Loyal:
Dogs are sometimes better than cats. There’s a reason dogs are called man’s best friend. They tilt their heads and try to understand your every word while trying to make you feel better when you’re sad. Cats will just ignore you and take another nap. Dogs are such social creatures that their relaxed owners have lower blood pressure and longer lifespans, even when they live alone, compared to those who don’t own pets at all.

4) Your dog can keeps you fit:
Dogs need to walk, which means you probably can too. Walking is a form of low-impact cardio that does wonders for your legs, lower back, and midsection. One study even found that seniors who owned dogs walked an average distance of one mile per day.
5) Dogs come in all sizes:
You can fill your tiny apartment with the relentless heart of a Chihuahua or have majestic Pyrenees roaming your mansion. Somewhere on the scale, there’s a dog size to suit your needs and preferences.
6) Dogs are crime-fighting and heroes:
The sophisticated noses of dogs make them very useful for all kinds of crime-fighting applicants, whether it’s manhunts for fugitives, locating missing children or sniffing out bombs. Medical applications are also being explored. Scientists at the University of Pennsylvania are training German Shepards and Golden Retrievers on how to detect ovarian cancer.

7) Dogs can prevent asthma and allergies:
Children exposed to “dog dust” may have a lower risk of developing asthma and allergies later in life. This is based on studies in mice. Dog dust appears to have microbes that affect how many immune cells respond to allergens.

Dog does not use cat litter boxes:
If so, something has gone really wrong along the way. Even those who love cats hate litter boxes (see our recommended cat litter). Regardless of how well they are maintained, the smell lingers and litter is tracked everywhere in their home. In a small house, finding the ideal place for a litter box is also problematic.
Dogs are trained in the house and most of them stick to their schedule. They wait to do their business during a walk or in the yard. It is only necessary to pick up their poop, but cat owners have to deal with urine in litter boxes. Poop is not so bad with the right bags or pooper scooper. It’s still not as glorious, but it’s better than dealing with things in your home.
Cat owners could most likely give some reasons why cats are better than dogs, but they are too busy pulling dead mice out of their slippers. If you train your dog properly, he’ll fetch your slippers for you.
