Ghaziabad: A distressing incident occurred in Khoda‘s Subhash Nagar locality when two family pet dogs were brutally attacked with a knife-like object. The attack, which took place on Wednesday night, has led to an FIR being filed by the police.

According to the pet owners, Sundar Singh, the two dogs were injured severely. One dog required 20 stitches, while the other received 18 stitches. The assault happened around 8:30 PM, when Singh’s daughters, aged 20 and 21, were at home. The rest of the family was out.

Singh reported that a group of neighbors had long objected to his family walking the dogs or tying them outside their house. On the night of the attack, these neighbors allegedly entered Singh’s home, verbally abused his daughters, and pushed his wife when she arrived.

The dogs, trying to protect their family, were attacked with a knife. Singh said, “The neighbors have frequently shown hostility towards our pets. During this incident, one of them pulled out a knife and inflicted severe injuries on our dogs.”

Singh rushed the injured dogs to a hospital. Unfortunately, one of the dogs has not eaten and might not survive. Singh has filed a police complaint detailing the attack.
